Why pair Claude with an automation tool?

Because they are good at opposite things. Claude is excellent at reading a transcript and writing a clean recap, task list, or set of notes. It is not built to watch a folder, read the file, and post the result to email, Notion, or Slack. That is plumbing, and a tool like Make does plumbing.

So the tool handles every step that needs no judgment, and Claude handles the writing. Think of the tool as the assistant who files and sends, and Claude as the one who actually writes the minutes. Keep recordings and transcripts of private conversations in locked-down folders, mind consent before recording anyone, and think before sending confidential discussions to any external model. For ordinary team meetings, this is a clear win; for sensitive ones, keep a human in the loop.

Which build should I start with?

Depends on what you have. If your meeting tool already saves transcripts, start with a recap build. If you only have recordings, start with transcription, then point the recap builds at the transcripts.

Where do transcripts come from?

From your meeting tool, Google Meet, Zoom, Otter, and others save them to Drive, or from the transcription build here, which turns a recording into text.

Can I review recaps before they send?
